How Does it Work?

The g2g card can be used to make payment in the same way as other bank cards but has some restrictions.

1. Card holder chooses activity from a list of providers / 2. The card is swiped at the providers location on arrival / 3. Card holder enters the 4 digit PIN number which is provided / 4. On acceptance the card holder is free to carry out the activity

Any unspent money on the card can be carried over into the next month. All monies not spent at the end of the pilot are returned to Cambridge County Council.

Young people will not be able to use the card at outlets which are not part of the scheme and will not be able to go into debt using the card. The card is authorised online at every transaction and will only allow payment if there is enough money in the account.
